Spring Sports: Tryouts Begin Tuesday, February 18th at 3:30PM
Important Policy Information Regarding Practice and Games For Our Athletic Teams at Pollard.
Students who make one of our MBP teams agree to commit 100% to practice and games. If you cannot make this commitment due to other teams or obligations, please do not tryout and potentially take a spot from another student. The unexcused practice and game policy will be enforced for all team sports.
Missing Practices or Games (Unexcused)
1st Unexcused Absence-1 Game Suspension
2nd Unexcused Absence – 2 Game Suspension
3rd Unexcused Absence – Removal from team
Missing Practice/Games Unexcused Examples:
Leaving early from MBP practice to attend practice/games for another team
Missing practice or game at MBP to attend practice/games for another team
Failure to notify your coach before practice that you will not be at practice
Disciplinary issues like ISS or OSS
Grades, tardiness and write-ups at school
Approved Absence from Practices or Games
The Athletic Director will look at this on a case-by-case basis. This can include vacations planned before the season, family emergencies, and illness

Also, please be sure to turn in your physical to Coach Juarez. Do not leave your physical with the office staff. You must have a completed physical packet to tryout and your physical is only good for 13 months from the date your doctor signed it. Coach Juarez has physical packets in his office, gym, and the health room.

Cheer tryouts begin the week of November 4th, 2024
Any student interested in trying out for the Pollard cheer team or school mascot, please come to an interest meeting in the health room on October 11th at 8:30AM during club time. At this meeting, we will discuss the requirements for being on the team and our tryout schedule.
All CCMS Athletic Packet and signed physical forms must be turned in to our Athletic Director no later than Friday, November 1st. Please do not leave the CCMS Athletic Packet in our main office. Failure to complete the athletic packet, physical form (signed by your doctor) and Ticket to Play will result in your child being ineligible to tryout. There are absolutely no exceptions.

Ticket to Play Procedures
All students wanting to participate in our schools athletic programs must submit their Ticket To Play If you do not have a Ticket to Play you will not be eligible to tryout. There are no exceptions.
Students must also complete the Chatham County Schools Athletic Participation Packet.
Athletic Eligibility: Students must have passed ELA, Math and either Science or Social Studies during their last semester to be academically eligible to participate in tryouts.

What: GAP - The time between the end of school and the beginning of home athletic events. This provides an opportunity for students to stay after school and attend athletic events.
When: After school on ALL home game days
