Congrats to Ms. Margaret Grayson from @JMHSJets_gram, our May Excellence and Opportunity Champion! Here's what her nominator said : "Ms. Grayson is a firm believer in the power of relationships and uses that to find common ground between students, staff and parents. Because of this belief, Ms. Grayson is a champion of Restorative Circles. I have counted on her for conflicts with both students and adults. She is level-headed and resourceful, and most importantly, she really hears and believes your story. For students, that can be a life saver. During the pandemic, Ms. Grayson helped our students put on a digital concert for Racial Justice. This year, All Love Club, which she is advising, has worked hard to promote activism for many different marginalized groups. Ms. Grayson also actively supported the development of our Sources of Strength program, a student-led initiative to educate students about Mental Health issues and works tirelessly to find ways to connect students across our school community. #OneChatham #GDTBAJ

We have some exciting new designs that you'll see on upcoming Chatham County Schools swag! You can use these stickers on GIPHY @ChathamCountySchools. These designs were created by Chatham Arts Council Art Program Director and CCS English-teacher-turned-artist, Jessica Rigsbee! Ms. Rigsbee is also leading an after-school arts residency at Chatham Middle called AIM (Artist Innovation Membership) through the NC Museum of Art. AIM partners with professional artists to bring arts experiences to small groups in various schools. Chatham Middle is the first school in Chatham to get this experience. #OneChatham #ArtsAthleticsAcademics
