The mission of the Chatham County Schools is to graduate globally competitive, well-rounded students by providing a rigorous and relevant curriculum in an effective, safe, and nurturing learning environment.

We serve and support students, parents, teachers, and administrators at four traditional schools: Chatham Central, Jordan-Matthews, Northwood, and Seaforth.  We also serve and support non-traditional opportunities at SAGE Academy, our Early College High School (the Chatham School of Science & Engineering), and through our fully-online learning option, the Virtual Academy at Chatham Central.

Our high school programs emphasize the importance of planning for college and careers through engaging courses, extracurricular activities, job shadowing, and volunteering. In this environment of high expectations with high levels of support the success of each student stems from critical reading, critical writing, and critical thinking in each classroom, each day.
